NBA: Injury Report
With only 21 games left in the season and the Lakers placed at 12th in the Western Conference things are looking grim as superstar LeBron James is expected to miss an extended period of time after sustaining a right foot injury. According to The Athletic James is expected to be an extended absence due to a right foot injury suffered on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks. Will the Lakers be eliminated from the playoffs? Twitter seems to believe so. James has little to no help with big man Anthony Davis who just can’t seem to stay healthy. In what seems like a must-win game for the Lakers, it is currently reported that Davis is ruled out for tonight’s game against the Thunder. Yikes.
At this point, the big man has only shown consistency being on the bench, and it’s hard to watch. LeBron can’t do it alone.
Despite defeating the Pistons, the Hornets’ star player LaMelo Ball leaves the game with a right foot issue after an awkward fall. It is now reported that Ball has suffered a fracture in his right ankle. As if things couldn’t get any worse for the Hornets, LaMelo Ball (R Ankle Fracture) is out. Cody Martin (L Knee Soreness) is out. PJ Washington (R Foot Strain) is out. The Hornets released the news to the media before tonight’s game vs. Phoenix Suns and Kevin Durant’s debut in a Suns uniform.
