Warriors One Game Closer to Sweeping Mavericks after Game 3 victory
DALLAS — The Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks in a 109-100 victory Sunday night taking a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference finals. Notable performances came from Stephen Curry scoring 31 pts, Andrew Wiggins not only had 27pts, 11 rebounds and three assists in the victory but he’s currently trending after his poster dunk on the Maverick’s Luka Doncic. But wait — did you see it? In case, you haven’t look at this…I mean looooook at this.
Doncic spoke about the poster dunk at the press conference revealing, he too, was impressed.
"I got hit a little bit, but that was impressive. I'm not gonna lie, I saw the video again and I was like, 'Oof.' That was pretty incredible. I wish I had those bunnies."
The Dallas Mavericks guard couldn't help but be shook by the display of athleticism, and we’re not mad at it. Adding to the Warriors victory was Klay Thompson who dished out 19 pts, and scored impactful fourth-quarter 3-pointers. While the Mavericks fell short Doncic carried his team scoring 40 points (11-23 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 14-17 FT), 11 rebounds, and three assists. Only it was not enough. While things look pretty grim for the Mavs, we can’t forget they trailed 2-0, against top-seeded Phoenix before winning the West semifinal series in seven games. Although they currently trail by three games against the Warriors, anything can happen, right? After all, the Warriors won their last Championship back in 2018, and have fallen short the following several years yielding them from three championships.
One thing that is for certain, we’ll be glued to our screens Tuesday night to see if the Mavericks will force a game 5.
