NBA: Boston Celtics Force Game 5 with a Chilling 116-99 Victory on the Miami Heat
MIAMI, FL — “Don’t let us get one. Don't let us get tonight,” were the words of Celtics star Jaylen Brown before Tuesday night’s game held at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Safe to say, the Celtics had a "Don't let us win one" mindset heading into Game 4, intimidating the Heat as they foreshadowed what would happen next. And the Celtics did exactly that: they beat the Heat by 17 points with a final score of 99-116, forcing a Game 5.
In what looked like it would be a sweep for the Heat as they led the series 3-0 before Tuesday night’s win in Miami. This Eastern Conference Final was certainly unexpected, but Boston is looking to stave off elimination and keep its season going. One thing is certain: regardless of what it looked like, the Celtics remained positive.
"I feel very good about tonight. Don't let us get one," said Marcus Smart.
In fact, the entire Celtics team had a positive mindset heading into Game 4, and it echoed in their performance Tuesday night. Notable performance from Jayson Tatum, who had 33 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. Will the Heat blow a 3-0 lead? Or will the Celtics break this momentum? The series resumes on Thursday with Game 5.
