NFL: Game of the Year? Philly Heads to Dallas for SNF

PHILADELPHIA, PA – It’s about to go down in Arlington, Texas, Sunday night as things are heating up in the NFC East after the Philadelphia Eagles got destroyed by the San Francisco 49ers, losing 42-13 last Sunday in Philly. After the Sunday night smackdown, the Eagles fell 10-2 while the Dallas Cowboys trail only one game behind at 9-3. And just by the snap of a finger, the narrative has changed in the NFC East; only one thing remains true: The New York Giants' chances are out the window again as their current battle is seeking a high Draft Pick for the upcoming season. Many Giants fans were arguably upset by the Giants’ win last game, as it seems they can’t even lose correctly.  How does that work? The fans want a higher draft pick, and winning won’t cut it. With Washington at 4-9, it’s an Eagles and Cowboys show in the NFC East and it’s not even close.

Game of the year?

Football fans are in for a treat this Sunday night as the Eagles travel to Dallas hoping to give America’s team their first home loss as they remain undefeated. It won’t be easy as the Eagles return from a brutal loss. But fret not; the Eagles just signed linebacker Shaquille Leonard. It seems the Eagles have done their homework and realized they may need a new addition to the bird squad, and that’s a linebacker to put the pressure on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. Leonard joins a defense that has faced many challenges regarding injuries, and to be better equipped against an elite Dak Prescott is the best decision the Eagles could’ve made to eliminate that challenge. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been stealing headlines for his elite performance this year, with 28 TDs, 3,234 YDS, COMP 70.1%, and a PASS RTG 108.3. Prescott faced a lot of controversy over his performance last year after leading the league in interceptions. My oh my, how the tables have changed. Stoically, Prescott ignored the talk and let his game do the talking for him. The quarterback is predicted to be crowned MVP this season, and the world has much to say about it.

On the contrary, the numbers don’t lie. Dak is proving himself through his game, and like it or not he’s performing at the highest level in the NFL currently. As the Cowboys face a tough stretch of games, Prescott has an opportunity to join Emmitt Smith as the Cowboys' only other MVP.

So, what do you think? Will the Cowboys keep their home record squeaky clean, and will Dak Prescott be MVP of the year? Or will the Eagles hand the Cowboys their first home loss and stay 1st place in the NFC East?
