LAS VEGAS — Former 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will be in a new uniform this upcoming season as he agreed to sign a 3-year, $67.5 million deal with the Raiders, with $34 million guaranteed per NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Just last year, San Francisco failed to trade the former starting quarterback, and he elected to restructure his contract instead. As a result, Garoppolo signed a one-year, $7 million deal with the 49ers, also tacking on incentives, a no-trade and no-franchise tag clause. He was expected to serve as Trey Lance's backup, but after Lance’s injury put him out indefinitely, Jimmy G was back - just like that. Only his return as starter quickly turned grim after Garoppolo suffered a broken foot against the Miami Dolphins in December ultimately ruling him out for the season.

Despite the foot injury, things are looking up for Jimmy G this upcoming season and we are all interested to see him take back his starting position, only this time…in a Raiders uniform. This draft will be interesting to see who the Raiders will scoop up with 11 total draft picks this April. After finishing last season with a 6-11 record, the Raiders are set to pick at No. 7 overall in the first round. It’s the perfect setup for the Raiders and we can’t wait to see what picks they’re lined up for this year.
