NCAA National Championship: San Diego State vs. UCONN
SAN DIEGO — It was a shot at the buzzer that sent San Diego State to the Championship on Saturday night, the game is going down as one of the most nail-biting finishes in NCAA history. SDSU’s Lamont Butler hit a corner shot in the last seconds of the game beating Florida Atlantic 72-71. Butler practiced for moments like these since a young boy, where he often played basketball counting down to the shot-clock buzzer on the imaginary clock in his mind. 3…2…1…score!
It’s moments like these that takes years of dreaming, hours of practice, thousands of shots, that trickle down to a couple of tense seconds. And like Saturday night, it all came together for Butler as he drained a jumper sending the Aztecs to the National Championship.

While it was a competitive game, it was not a nail-biting finish for UConn and Miami as the Huskies defeated Miami 72-59 advancing them to the National Championship held Monday night. The 13 point defeat was not a shock as Miami struggled to guard UConn’s best player, Adama Sanogo who shot 9 for 11, 21 points, 10 rebounds, and hit 2-3 three pointers. Sanogo gave his all in the 26 minutes that he played. In addition, the 6’9 forward is the first UConn player with 100+ points and 40+ rebounds in a single Men's NCAA Tournament.
Monday night we’ll see UConn battle SDSU…
So…who ya got?!
